Our History
Dawn & Courteney - Grand Finals 2004
Korora Physi Club began with a small group at Kororo Public School in 1986. In 1992 the club closed down for a short time & Dawn went to teach at Woolgoolga/Northern Beaches with Judy Kennedy & Joyce McLeod. In 1999 Dawn reopened the club, known then as Korora/Glenreagh & in 2004 the Glenreagh arm closed & the Club continued as KPCC, retaining Dawn as its original instuctress.
Korora has enjoyed many successes over the years including its first Ladies team who were North Coast Champions three years running (1987,1988,1989). Julie Roberts, who was a part of that team returned to the club five years ago & competes with Korora. Sharon & Katherine Edwards are also original members of the club who competed up until the end of 2010.
Korora's biggest success story has been Courteney Treadwell who has competed at State Finals in Hurstville & Grand Finals at Town Hall since 2002 & won Grand Champion Girl (7years) in 2005. She has been placed 7 years running since 2004.
2011 saw a very successful North Coast Zone Competition with seven girls from the Club selected to go to State Finals. This resulted in Natalie & Steffaney going through to Grand Finals with Natalie taking out 1st place Grand Champion Girl in the 7 years section. This was the only 1st Place Cup to come home to the North Coast this year.
